Before the summer break the Federal Government passed first reading of Bill C-59 that includes some of the provisions of the 2015 Federal Budget. Included in that bill was a reduction of the Small Business tax rate. The budget calls for the small business tax rate to drop to 10.5% effective January 1, 2016, 10% effective January 1, 2017, 9.5% effective January 1, 2018 and 9% effective January 1, 2019.
